So, I decided to visit NYC again. My fellow Tomas joined me. On Thanksgiving day we arrived into the city and we’re putting up at a hotel located close to Central Park. Next day’s Black Friday, thus we’re gonna spent whole day shopping as any other bargain hunter would on that day. On Saturday we’re taking a walk through Central Park and its ZOO to Rockefeller Center. Afternoon, we walked down the Financial district, Wall Street, Battery Park and have ended up dining in Chinatown.  Early morning on Sunday, we’re taking a bus to Jersey Gardens where we’re gonna spend last busy day of weekend sales. On Monday, we’re walking the Brooklyn Bridge, then we’re hopping on the ferry taking round trip to Staten Island. Finally, we got few good deals in Century 21 store department. It’s Tuesday, cloudy day with some showers throughout the day. We’re flying back home but before, I mind to spend some time in B&H photo video to get some stuff. At the evening, we’re flying home.

Photo “Denying Kiss” won 7th place in “The Park Photo contest 2011″. The contest attended people with roughly 150 photos and “Emotion” was set as the topic of the contest.

Picture was shot in 2009 in Puskhar, Rajasthan where we begun our short tour around the northern India. Marta, who intended to make a picture of her with a camel named “Krshna“.  Krhsna was having a rest in a shade with the head bedded on a sand. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a covered double arcade formed of two glass-vaulted arcades at right angles intersecting in an octagon, prominently sited on the northern side of the Piazza del Duomo in Milan, and connects to the Piazza della Scala. Named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of united Italy, it was originally designed in 1861 and built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877.

The street is covered over by an arching glass and cast iron roof, a popular design for nineteenth-century arcades, such as the Burlington Arcade, London, which was the prototype for larger glazed shopping arcades, beginning with the Saint-Hubert Gallery in Brussels (opened 1847), the Passazh in St Petersburg (opened 1848), the Galleria Umberto I in Naples (opened 1890) and the Budapest Galleria.

The central octagonal space is topped with a glass dome. The Milanese Galleria was larger in scale than its predecessors and was an important step in the evolution of the modern glazed and enclosed shopping mall, of which it was the direct progenitor. It has inspired the use of the term galleria for many other shopping arcades and malls. The use of the iron structure has inspired also the Eiffel Tower, in Paris. Below the dome is the centre mosaic shield[Cite] of the mall, and to the west of the design is a tradition that suggests that you have a spin with your right heel on the mosaic bulls “attributes”, one of the 102 glass designs that make up the pavement of the Galleria’s splendid central octagon. Once a gesture to ward off evil, it has become part of the Milanese tradition and has such a following that a deep hole has formed in the pavement.

September 14^th

We reached our point-of-return and it’s time to start getting back home. We’re driving long way to Milan, Italy.  We’re parking neer by Torre Velasca and taking a walk around center of Milan through Palazzo Reale di Milano, Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Teatro alla Scala. Arriving to hotel late evening.

September 15^th

We’re driving through Switzerland. I refused to buy 40CHF worth annual highway-toll sticker, thus we’re driving toll free roads through Vaduz, the capital of the principality of Liechtenstein. It already got dark, so we just quickly doing some photos of Vaduz Castle and continue long drive to Munchen, Germany. Arriving Munchen and putting up at Siddiqi Pension & Hostel.

September 16^th

In Munchen, we picked up to visit only BMW museum and BMW Welt as a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition facility of the BMW AG. Spectacular!  It’s afternoon and we continue driving through traffic jam to Prague. Done.

September 11^th

We’re exploring Monaco as the second smallest independent state in the world.  We’re visiting Grand Casino in Monte Carlo as the world’s most famous casino. Unfortunately, we missed Palais Princier (Prince’s Palace) in Monaco Ville.  Shame on us. At the evening we driving to Nice and putting up at hotel.

September 12^th

Leaving the hotel and parking at the port. From the port we’re climbing up the stairs to Colline du Chateau and enjoying the view of city.  through flower and food market in old quarter back to the car. We’re leaving the Nice and heading south. Lodging at the camping La Vieille Ferme, where we mind spending two nights. After spending afternoon at camping’s swimming pool, we’re going to visit Cannes.  We arrived in the evening and taking a walk down the La Croisette – which it is the center of the city’s tourist activity and known for various boutique shops and its luxury hotels such Carlton - most prestigious place to stay during Cannes Film Festival.

September 13^th

It’s a beautiful morning and we’re sunbathing on the beach. This afternoon we’re going to visit Saint-Tropez. First place we’re walking around is Gendarmerie Nationale building, famous from Le gendarme series, featuring Luis de Funnes. We’re taking a walk along city port then through narrow streets up on the hill towards Citadel in order to get a view the city from a bird’s perspective. Finally, we’re getting back in the direction of car parking. On the way back, we got stuck in the traffic hold-up for nearly an hour.

September 9^th

At the morning we took a walk Lago di Trasimeno lake which neighborhoods with the camp and now we’re driving old motorway via Siena to Pisa. On the way we’re stopping on lunch on petrol station curiously labeled with Autogrill logo, but only meal they offering is refrozen pasta. Thus, I’m offering Pavlik[1] to this fast-food service. Cheers. We’re reaching Pisa, parking the car and going to see famous leaning tower. We’re taking a walk around the Piazza del Duomo taking obvious tower “hold up” junk pictures. We spend in Pisa roughly two hours and now driving west coast of Italy towards north via Viareggio to Marina di Massa where we’re lodging in Lilli camp.

Spetember 10^th

We woke up earlier then we used to and no we’re driving to Genoa. Street sight helped us get to camping site called Genova Est. This outdated camping’s going to be our home for one night. It a nice weather so we’re decided to spend some time on a beach before going to the city. Camping sign reads that distance to the beach is 500 meters. After we took thousands stair down to the see level, we realized they forgot to mention that camp elevation has by estimation 300 meters above the sea level. The beach is nice and small, however, a bit crowded. It’s too hot day, so the see seems to be refreshing. It’s getting late and we want to visit Genoa before dark, so we’re taking thousands stairs up to get to the camp. After having short shower and change, we’re heading to the city to see European’s second largest aquarium located in old harbor. Before leaving the exhibition, we’re having the chance to touch lovely stingrays. It’s already dark and city celebrates festival, so there’s a lot of food on the street. So, we’re ending up in spaghetteria. I’m ordering spaghetti “Bottarga” and getting bare spaghetti peppered with something tiny. Later on I found out that bottarga means fish eggs.
